Started by AFGRI, this project benefits emerging farm workers in Africa

Why was it started?
To Foster a strong, vibrant and successful agriculture economy on the continent and contribute to food security

How was it done?
AFGRI entered an agreement with various Departments and pledged funding towards the development process. A training, monitoring (regular visits to the farm) and mentorship program is made available. Training in the following forms: in class, on farm, personal development, budgeting, spending, basic computer skills

How was it funded?
AFGRI pledged R90 million

Social and Economic Implications
Economic sustainability is the goal. Over 250 micro farmers were trained and educated on how to produce sustainable food and livelihoods in the community.
