How was it done?
Seed was obtained from Sengenta. They usually export seed but Government negotiations allowed the farmers to obtain seed from them. The department supported with net structures, irrigation systems and production inputs. The farmers joined their land and farms cooperatively. Government also provides water at a lower tariff.
