Jannie Putter (right)
Jannie is a motivational speaker and presents workshops on leadership, teamwork, executive coaching, parenting and mental toughness.
He is the mental coach of various national and international athletes and teams and the Blue Bulls were honoured to have him as a mental coach from 2006 to 2010 (during which time they won the Super 14 tournament three times!). He is currently the mental coach of the Golden Lions rugby team (since 2015) and was recently approached by Orlando Pirates.
He is the author of six books, namely Winning is for kids… and parents, The secrets of a champion, A gameplan for life, Mentally tough – principles of competing, ’n Wenplan vir jou kind se lewe, and The sport coach – the psychology behind coaching, which was released in 2016.
Wessel Lemmer (left)
Wessel Lemmer is a senior agricultural economist at Absa.
He studied at the University of the Free State where he obtained his MSc(Agric) degree in agricultural management. He began his working career as a lecturer at Potchefstroom Agricultural College. After the deregulation of the grain market he joined the North West Cooperative as a market researcher before being lured to the Western Cape where he accepted a post as a grain trader for Cape Grain.
Driven by his love for agricultural research and his deep understanding of commodity markets, he was soon back at the Western Cape Department of Agriculture, which he joined as a senior agricultural research economist. He then joined Grain SA and became their senior agricultural economist responsible for market development.
In 2005 he joined Absa, where he was responsible for market information and for positioning the bank as a leader in the field of agricultural theory.
Wessel is a family man. He and his wife Erica have two daughters. One of his main hobbies is water colour painting, which he finds to be a source of creative introspection and balance.
